We are on a Mission!
We have been LOVING it at CHAOS since we kicked things off a few weeks ago! We have been ON A MISSION to let the kids know what we are all about, and how we can make it the best journey together as we learn about Jesus.
Last week Brenna kicked off the On A Mission series talking about small groups and community at CHAOS. Small groups are the best because doing things together is always better! God in fact created us to be in relationship, and not alone. So small groups are a group of people who commit to meeting together every week. What happens when we commit to meeting together?
- Hope Happens
- Love & Good deeds happenWe also have awesome leaders who are there to walk through the groups. They are little further on their faith journey, but they are excited to cheer these students on!
Small groups can be awesome, or not… Bottom line: When it comes to small groups, you get out what you put in. How can we help make it the best?
- Be present
- Create a safe space
- Make it personalWe want to make their jr high years better with an honest community, where they don’t have to be fake, but also learn to create a safe space for everyone to do their own journey with Jesus!
Remind ourselves of what the author from Hebrews tells us.
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near (Hebrews 10:23-25 NLT).
