Craig Buskohl will be undergoing a procedure on May 29th to donate a portion of his liver to his cousin. They will undergo 6-12 hours of surgery at University of Nebraska Medical Center and will spend a week in the hospital after the procedure. Please pray for the transplant team, Craig and Nathan’s family and their recovery.
Sarah Rueber had a follow-up on Monday at the University of Iowa Cancer Center and got great news. She's healing well from my surgery, and diagnosis was ovarian cancer presenting through serous borderline tumors, stage three. This is a wonderful answer to prayer, as this is a non-invasive cancer that's cured through removal, so no chemo and radiation will be needed. She will have appointments every 6 months to monitor for recurrence but otherwise released from care!
Please pray for Brittani and her family as they have transitioned to a new state for a job, and they are still waiting to sell their home in Iowa while living out of state. Prayers of encouragement as well as closure on the moving and selling process.
Please pray for the family of Dennis Koenen who died Friday, May 30. He was a wonderful uncle and brother to his large family, which includes his sister Alda Frey, niece Deanne Ubben, great-niece Cassi Price and nephew Shawn Koenen. His visitation and funeral service will be at Bethel Reformed in rural Aplington. The arrangements are being handled by Redman Funeral Services in Parkersburg.
